Substance abuse treatment information is confidential and privileged to the patient, and may be disclosed according to the exceptions provided in Part 2. Each client must read and sign a notice of their right to confidentiality.
A client or an individual legally responsible for the client may consent in writing to disclosure of confidential substance abuse treatment information. A legal guardian may consent on behalf of a client.
