“Professional misconduct under the occupations and professions law”
Dentists or dental hygienists may be disciplined for misconduct which includes:
- Having a physical or mental impairment which is dangerous to public health or interferes with the practice of dentistry or dental hygiene;
- Ignorance, incompetence, or negligence in the practice of dentistry or dental hygiene; or
- Intentionally injuring a patient.
