“Immunization registry under the public health law”
The Department of Health and Human Services must establish a state immunization registry. Physicians, nurses, and other health care providers may report an immunization to the immunization registry unless the patient or the patient’s parent or guardian refuses to allow reporting of this information. Access to the registry’s information must be limited to primary care physicians, nurses, and other appropriate health care providers who demonstrate a legitimate need for the information.
