“Penalties; fund established under the hospitals and sanitaria law”
A facility that fails to file a timely adverse event report, conduct a root cause analysis or corrective action plan is subject to disciplinary action and sanctions. An adverse events fund is established to support adverse event data collection, analysis, reporting, and education. The fund is comprised of fines collected from facilities, gifts, grants, donations, and other monies.
