“Retaliation prohibited; penalty under the public safety and welfare law”
A long-term care facility may not take disciplinary or retaliatory action against an employee, resident, the resident’s family member or legal representative, or volunteer for communicating with the long-term care ombudsman. No person may interfere with the long term care ombudsman in the performance of his duties. Any person who violates this statute is guilty of a misdemeanor.
