“Confidentiality, release of information under the public health law”
All records and information pertaining to persons testing for HIV is confidential and may not be disclosed except with the written request of the person. The identity of a person tested for HIV must not be disclosed except as provided by law. However, the identity of a person tested for HIV and found to be HIV positive may be disclosed to a blood bank or other agency which receives blood donations.
