“Reporting procedures”
Licensed health care institutions must implement procedures for reviewing reports from health professionals regarding the activities, policies, or practices that such professionals believe are illegal, violate professional standards, and/or create a substantial risk to a patient’s health, safety, or welfare. These procedures must include measures that protect the confidentiality of the reporting health professional’s identity.
