The following diseases must be reported to the division of newborn disease prevention and identification in the department of health’s bureau of family health upon discovery in a child less than 28 days old:
- Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH);
- Galactosemia;
- Maple syrup urine disease (MSUD);
- Phenylketornuria (PKU);
- Primary congenital hypothyroidism; and
- Sickle cell disease.
