When a resident of a long term care facility develops a reportable disease, the administrator must report the information to the appropriate health agencies and appropriate Division of Nursing Care Facilities field office; cases of scabies and lice, significant nosocomial outbreaks, MRSA, VRSA, VRE, and VRSE must be reported to the appropriate Division of Nursing Care Facilities field office.
