Records Storage
Requires licensed Iowa pharmacies to maintain records for at least two years following the record date or last activity within the record. Authorizes the Pharmacy Board to inspect and copy pharmacy records. Requires pharmacies to keep records that are less than a year old within the pharmacy, but permits outside storage so long as the pharmacy can immediately access electronic copies of the records. Permits outside storage of records older than a year so long as the pharmacy can retrieve them within 48 hours.
