Records and reports
Requires managed care organizations that provide Medicaid services to maintain clinical records in compliance with state and federal requirements. Mandates that an enrollee’s medical record contain documentation of all received services in accordance with the MCO’s contract with the Department of Human Services, 42 CFR 456, and Iowa Admin. Code r. 441-79.3. Requires MCOs to maintain the confidentiality of medical records in accordance with state and federal laws.
