Patient’s rights - R.I. Gen. Laws Ann. § 5-37.7-10

Patients whose confidential health information is transferred on Rhode Island’s Health Information Exchange have the right to: (1) “obtain a copy of [their] confidential health information from the HIE;” (2) “obtain a copy of the disclosure report pertaining to [their] confidential health care information;” (3) receive notice of a breach to the HIE’s security; (4) “terminate [their] participation in the HIE in accordance with rules or regulations promulgated by the agency; and (5) “request to amend [their] own information through the provider participant.”
