“Organized health care delivery models for children eligible for California Children Services (CCS); establishment; report of expenditures; evaluation; rulemaking”
California law provides for organized health care delivery models in California's CHIP program. Acceptable models include medical homes, which coordinate care to meet children’s health needs.
The law requires entities submit to the department data, including expenditures for services provided under the contract, for quality monitoring and improvement measures. The department must institute quality monitoring and improvement measures that are appropriate for children and youth with special health care needs.
The department must conduct an evaluation to assess the effectiveness of each model in improving the delivery of health care services for children who are eligible.
