While acting in an official capacity, any adult with whom a public or private official comes in contact who the official has reasonable cause to believe has suffered abuse or has abused an adult, shall report or cause a report to made in the required manner. Psychiatrists, psychologists, members of the clergy and attorneys are not required to report such information communicated by a person if the communication is privileged.
