Persons receiving mental health and development disability services have many rights, including the following:
- Choose from available services those which are appropriate and consistent with the individualized written service plan;
- Ongoing participation in planning of services in a manner appropriate to the person’s capabilities, including the right to participate in the development and periodic revision of the individualized service plan and the right to be provided with a reasonable explanation of all service considerations;
- Give informed consent to all services except in a medical emergency or as otherwise permitted by law;
