The insurance commissioner may request information from health insurers to understand the individual market, the small employer market, and the types of health coverage being purchased by individuals and employers by geographic area. The insurance commissioner must annually file reports to the state legislature. The commissioner must hold an annual public hearing concerning premium rates and prepare an annual report concerning premium rates.
