The Department of Health and Human Services must prepare a report on the data it collects annually from health care facilities and submit it to the state legislature. The report must evaluate the collected data and recommend ways to improve efficiency and curb health care costs. The Department is also allowed to create reports on price and utilization of health services in order to encourage competition.
