“Department access to the registry under the division of public health services regulations”
To ensure confidentiality, the commissioner of health and human services must access immunization registry records only:
- At the request of a health care provider or the individual who has his or her medical information contained in the registry;
- To investigate vaccine fraud;
- To determine those in need of immunization or treatment during outbreaks of communicable disease;
- To provide compilations of data; or
- To investigate reports of vaccine-associated illness.
