“Procedures for disclosure of protected health information under the division of public health services regulations”
The state cancer registry must use and disclose protected health information in accordance with state law. The Department of Health and Human Services must maintain confidentiality of reports. The state cancer registry’s protected health information may only be released only to:
- The individual that the information pertains to or the individual’s minor or guardian or legal representative; or
- To persons conducting health related research.
