“Utilization review under the division of elderly and adult services regulations”
The Department of Health and Human Services’ Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services must conduct utilization reviews for services offered by nursing facilities. If a facility fails to submit timely utilization review documentation, the bureau may suspend further placements of prospective residents and the payment for services rendered.
