Electronic health record system revolving account and loan program
Minnesota has established an account that is dedicated to finance the purchase of electronic health records (EHRs), training personnel on EHRs, and improve the exchange of health information. The funds may be loaned to various entities, including federally qualified health centers, community clinics, non profit hospitals, individual or group physician practices, nursing facilities, or local public health departments. Loans should be prioritized to go to critical access hospitals and federally qualified health centers, and areas that serve underserved patients. Before any loans are issued, the applying entity must submit an application with specific details, including how the funds will be used. The names and loan amounts are public data, while other application data is private or nonpublic data.
