The department must administer the Breast Cancer Mortality Reduction Program. The Program includes professional education programs, public education programs, and an applied research and community demonstration grant program that provides grants to evaluate methods of reducing morbidity and mortality, methods of screening for breast cancer, and rehabilitation services.
