Medicaid payment reform and innovation pilot program - legislative declaration - creation - selection of payment projects - report - rules
Requires the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to establish a pilot program that will test performance based payment models in Colorado’s managed care system. Requires the Department to accept project proposals from managed care contractors and identifies the criteria that the Department must use to assess the proposals (e.g., the likely impact of project on health outcomes, potential for reducing health care costs, etc.). Requires participants in the pilot to report outcomes and cost data to the Department.
