Maintenance of records
Specifies the types of records that Medicaid providers must maintain (e.g., medical records, billing records, Medicaid payment records, prescription records, etc.). Requires providers to sign and date all medical record entries. Permits providers to electronically sign electronic medical record entries so long as they use a system that prevents people from signing another person’s name and prevents alterations of authenticated reports.
