Each hospital must compile a list of 25 common outpatient procedures and annually submit to the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development the hospital’s average charges for those procedures. The Office can choose to come up with a uniform reporting form for this. The Office must post the list of average prices on its website.
The Office must establish the 25 most common inpatient procedures, and compile a list of hospitals’ average charges for these procedures. The Office must publish this information on its website.
Hospitals must provide the lists above to any person who requests them.
