Laboratory reporting,
Requires laboratories, outpatient clinics that perform laboratory testing, out-of-state laboratories that collect specimens in Colorado, and in-state laboratories that send specimens out-of-state to report diseases to the Department of Public Health and Environment if the disease is marked “L” on Appendix A’s Reportable Diseases Table. Requires laboratories to submit bacterial cultures or clinical material to the Department in accordance with the Reportable Diseases Table. Identifies the information that laboratories must submit alongside specimens as including patient’s name and demographic information, disease or condition, and date of specimen collection. States that laboratories should report information electronically if possible.
