Allows pharmacies to engage in shared services if they utilize a common electronic system and either have a common owner or an agreement that outlines each pharmacy’s responsibilities. Requires pharmacies to maintain records of the pharmacist or pharmacy employee who took part in filling and dispensing each prescription. Requires pharmacies to have a system for protecting patient confidentiality and for safeguarding confidential records.
