Establishes requirements for electronically transmitted prescriptions that address the content of the prescription order and the persons authorized to make the transmission. Requires eRx equipment to be maintained in a way that protects against unauthorized access to the transmissions. Prohibits persons from accessing pharmacy records or individually identifiable information unless they are bound by a confidentiality agreement. Requires pharmacists to reduce electronic prescriptions to hard copy or an electronic file upon receiving the transmission.
