Insurers to provide certain information to the Department of Human Services,
Requires health insurers to disclose information to the Department of Human Services regarding Medicaid eligible enrollees or applicants so that the Department may identify Medicaid eligible persons covered by an insurer’s plan, assess the length of time during which the individual, their spouse, and/or dependent(s) have been covered through a plan, and assess the nature of the plan coverage. Authorizes the Department to request data a maximum of 12 times per year. Prohibits health insurers from considering an individual’s Medicaid eligibility when enrolling them in coverage. Prohibits the Department from using or disclosing the information unless authorized by law.
