“Information sharing during an enhanced surveillance advisory”
In the event of an enhanced surveillance advisory, Arizona requires public safety authorities to notify health authorities of suspicious diseases or bioterrorist threats and health authorities to notify public safety authorities of suspected bioterrorism. The information exchanged between public safety and health authorities must be limited to the information necessary to comply with the enhanced surveillance advisory and may not include any medical records. Any information that identifies persons must remain confidential.
