Information of review organizations to be confidential and privileged
Classifies as professional standard review organizations’ reports, findings, data, and proceedings as confidential and privileged. Prohibits the discovery or admission of such information as evidence in a civil proceeding. Prohibits persons that attend an organization’s proceedings from testifying about the proceedings or any organization opinions, actions, or findings. Clarifies that people may testify about matters they have knowledge about independent of their participation in an organization’s proceeding and that information may be discovered or admitted into evidence if it is available independently from its use by an organization.
