Information Access
Specifies the circumstances in which the Board of Pharmacy may disclose information from the drug prescribing and dispensing information program. Such circumstances include when a provider, or their delegate, requests information from the Board, when an individual requests information pertaining to themselves, pursuant to a court order issued in regards to a specific investigation, and to a prescription monitoring program operating in a different jurisdiction. Requires the Board of Pharmacy to keep records of persons that request information. Classifies program information as confidential and privileged. Requires the program to retain information for four years following the date of dispensing; information must be destroyed after this date. Authorizes the Board to enter into health information exchange agreements with other prescription monitoring programs.
