“Informal interviews; request for information; nondissemination; violation; classification”
The department of health services must notify emergency medical technitions who are under investigation of their ability to request information at least 10 days prior to their informal interview. The department must make any information they have about the investigation available, including the name of the complaining party, except for patient records, witness statements, records from other health care providers, and any other information protected by state or federal laws. The department, when releasing information, must redact any information that could identify a patient. Persons that receive information from the department may only use the information in relation to their interview or subsequent administrative procedeedings or appeals. Persons use or disclose the information for other purposes are liable for a class 3 misedeamor.
