Idaho Code Ann. § 54-934, Peer Review Committees — Immunity from Liability — Confidentiality of Records

Requires either the State Board of Dentistry, the Idaho State Dental Association, or both to establish at least one peer review committee. Grants peer review committee members, Board of Association employees that assist the committee, and persons that present information to the committee with immunity to any civil liability that arises in connection with a peer review investigation or proceeding. Clarifies that such immunity only applies to persons acting in good faith. Provides civil immunity to entities, organizations, and persons that report information to the committee or assist the committee in carrying out its duties. Prohibits the discovery or introduction into evidence of committee communications or information. Prohibits disclosure of such information unless authorized by Idaho’s Public Records Act .
