Genetic Testing
Requires individuals—or their authorized representative—to provide informed consent before anyone may collect the individual’s genetic information, conduct a genetic analysis on the individual, disclose the individual’s genetic information, or retain the individual’s genetic information. Specifies the circumstances in which informed consent is not required (e.g., for research purposes if the individual’s identity remains anonymous, pursuant to a court order, to assist in identifying a decease individual, etc.).
