Generally, New Mexico’s Medicaid program is administered through Salud!, the Department’s Medicaid managed care program. Individual’s eligible for Medicaid include:
- Families who meet the New Mexico AFDC requirements;
- Pregnant women with income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level;
- Children under 19 years old with income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level;
- Aged, blind, and disabled individuals who meet SSI requirements;
- Qualified Medicare beneficiaries and disabled working individuals; and
- Certain foster children, among others.
