Persons that knowingly make a false statement or misrepresentation of fact with intent to defraud the state a benefit or that wrongfully obtain a benefit are subject to a $20-$50 fine per offense or a maximum 30 days imprisonment. Each false statement or representation constitutes a separate offense.
