“Duties and responsibilities of the Department of Elderly Affairs under the Department of Elderly Affairs Act”
The Department of Elderly Affairs is responsible for administering human services and long-term care programs. The department is also authorized to administer all Medicaid waivers and programs relating to elders including:
- The Assisted Livening for the Frail Elderly Waiver;
- The Aged and Disabled Adult Waiver;
- The Consumer-Directed Care Plus Program;
- The Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly;
- The Long-Term Care Community-Based Diversion Pilot Project; and
- The Channeling Services Waiver for Frail Elders.
