“Disciplinary guidelines under the Department of Health regulations”
The Board of Medicine may fine or suspend, deny, place on probation, or revoke a physician’s license for the following:
- Engaged in a crime involving healthcare fraud;
- Failing to comply with obligation regarding ownership and control of medical records, patient records, report or copies of records to be furnished;
- Failed to maintain confidentiality of communication between a patient and a psychiatrist;
- Failing to report final disposition of professional liability claims and actions;
- Engaging in sexual misconduct with a patient; and
- Inability to practice medicine with skill.
