“Quality assurance and utilization review/ quality assessment and performance improvement committee and plan under the Department of Elder Affairs regulations”
Each hospice must establish a committee which must develop and implement a quality assurance and utilization review plan, which is also known as a quality assessment and performance improvement plan. The committee must systematically collect and review information regarding the care provided to each patient, incident reports, and complaints received from patients and their families.
