A group health plan and a health insurer offering group health insurance coverage may not base eligibility rules on any of the following health status-related factors of an individual: health status; physical and mental medical condition; claims experience; receipt of health care; medical history; genetic information; evidence of insurability, including conditions related from domestic violence; disability; any other health related factor determined by the insurance commissioner.
