Del. Code Ann. tit. 16, § 9903 - Duties and authority of the Commission

The Delaware Health Care Commission is responsible for advising the Governor and state legislature on strategies to promote affordable quality healthcare to all Delawareans. It must analyze all aspects of the healthcare landscape including population and health outcomes, service delivery infrastructure, quality, costs, accessibility, utilization, insurance coverage and financing.
 
The Delaware Health Care Commission must collaborate with the Delaware Health Information Network to assure that the use of health information technology and health information exchange results in cost effective, quality health care for all Delawareans.
