Information contained in reports of abuse that are made to local protective service agencies, the department of public welfare and law enforcement agencies may be disclosed under the following circumstances:
- To a court of competent jurisdiction under a court order;
- To law enforcement officials if an investigation results in a report of criminal conduct;
- To appropriate service providers in arranging specific services;
- To a subject of a report upon written request, except for information that would identify the person who made the report or who cooperated in a subsequent investigation;
- To appropriate department staff, if the information is relevant to an appeal in which the department is involved; and
- To appropriate department staff for the purpose of monitoring agency performance.
