Identifying information relating to any newborn screened in the newborn screening program may be released in the following circumstances:
- To the newborn’s parent or guardian;
- To the newborn’s designated health care provider;
- As may be necessary to provide services to the newborn child;
- With the consent of the newborn child’s parent or guardian; and
- With the child’s consent when the child is 18 years of age, has graduated from high school, has married or has been pregnant.
