Clinical record services
Requires home health agencies to maintain clinical records and specifies the content of these records (e.g., diagnosis and treatment information, physician orders, the patient’s plan of care, etc.). Requires home health agencies to maintain the records for at least 10 years following a patient’s discharge or seven years following a patient’s death. Requires home health agencies to establish security procedures and to obtain a patient or their guardian’s consent to release information unless disclosure is otherwise authorized by law.
