Applications for insurance -- HIV tests -- restrictions
Prohibits health insurance carriers from requiring insurance applicants to undergo HIV testing unless the individual signs a release form that has received approval from the Insurance Commissioner. Requires the form to include a provision that authorizes the test provider to release the results to the insurance carrier. Requires the Insurance Commissioner to establish rules implementing this section that address confidentiality protections for medical records.
