The Commissioner of Social Services must amend the Medicaid state plan in order to provide “assertive community treatment teams and community support services.” Community treatment teams, comprised of case managers, physicians, nurses, and substance abuse specialists, will “provide intensive, integrated, multidisciplinary services to adults with severe psychiatric disabilities.”
