“Quality assurance and improvement under the Agency of Human Services regulations”
A home health agency must establish a quality assessment and performance improvement program and a quality improvement committee. A home health agency must participate in the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living’s quality review processes and monitoring activities. It must also monitor patient and family satisfaction, keep written records of all of its monitoring efforts, and document the use of this information through quality improvement activities. The surveys’ results must be made available to the department. Patients, their legal representatives and the public also have the right to review current and past state and federal survey and inspection report of the home health agency.
