“Alternative Sanctions for Patient or Resident Abuse, Neglect, Mistreatment or Misappropriation of Patient or Resident Property by Nurse Aides, HomeHealth Aides, and Homemakers”

This section lists the sanctions the Department might impose on a nurse aide, home health aide or homemaker that has abused, neglected, or mistreated a patient or resident, or misappropriated patient or resident property.  Among these are suspension, probation, and a warning letter. If an accused agrees to these sanctions, they waive the right to a hearing. If the Department determines that such individual has violated the terms of the suspension or probation, the Department shall report such finding to the registry as if it had been adjudicated.
