105. Mass. Code Regs. 130.628. - Data Collection and Reporting Systems

Each maternal and newborn service must comply with Massachusetts laws and must maintain a daily patient log as required by the Department of Public Health.  The hospital must report the death of a pregnant woman during labor or delivery or up to 90 days after delivery or termination of pregnancy to the Department within 48 hours of the death.  Every hospital with a maternal and newborn service and neonatology department must submit patient specific data to the Department.  Hospitals with Level III maternal and newborn services must develop and maintain quality initiatives.
